TREEHOUSE VILLAGE ECOHOUSING
A Family‑Friendly, Multi‑Generational Cohousing Community in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia
Treehouse Village Ecohousing is Atlantic Canada’s first cohousing community!
We’re a group of families and individuals working together to co-develop our own green housing project on 15 acres of forested land in Bridgewater, a thriving town on the LaHave River in Nova Scotia — otherwise known as “Canada’s ocean playground”!
Our vision is to create a joyful, healthy, multi-generational cohousing community that lives lightly on the Earth.
Cohousing is a unique kind of housing planned and financed by the future residents. Privacy is balanced with community involvement. Households live in their own private homes, while also benefiting from indoor and outdoor shared amenities, as well as a strong sense of community with their neighbours.
Treehouse Village is breaking ground in more ways than one! Read about our #TreehouseCelebration that took place on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Treehouse Village is already 80% sold — but we still have two- and three-bedroom homes available. Check out our pre-sale pricing.

A bright, modern and energy efficient home to call your own. We’re building 30 homes, all designed to Passive House (PHIUS) standard.

At the heart of every cohousing community is the Common House. By pooling our resources and sharing more with our neighbours, we are able to make shared spaces all the more special.

Every home at Treehouse Village comes with a share of our 15 acres of outdoor space, collectively owned and managed by the community.

We are a group of families and individuals who have come together with the shared intention to live more socially and responsibly in a community that we have designed for ourselves.
